Roasters Notes:  "Turkish Coffee" refers not to a type of coffee, but to the way the coffee is prepared. The coffee grounds float freely in the brew, and are left to settle in the cup, leaving a "muddy" layer of coffee at the bottom of the cup. Some have the tradition after drinking their turkish coffee to turn the cup over, and decipher the grounds to read each others good fortunes.

It is the grind that gives Turkish coffee its distinctive body and bold flavor.
The grind needed is so fine that the whole beans become a flour-like powder, even finer than espresso.  We grind our Turkish coffee right  before shipping with our top of the line commercial coffee grinder, the Mahlkonig EK43 - as most average coffee grinders simply cannot achieve this extra-fine grind, crucial to brewing a proper cup of Turkish coffee.
